Empowering Women & Changing Lives

HER Resiliency Center (HER) supports all women, and serves young women ages 18-25, regardless of race, class, and background. HER encapsulates a multilateral, holistic, and individualized approach – which is needed when combating systemic barriers that lead to poverty, substance use, homelessness, and sexual exploitation. No two women are identical and HER recognizes recovery, healing, and empowerment is an individualized journey.

Change stems from challenging the status quo

We’re more than just an organization; we’re a movement—a striving force reshaping societal perceptions and expectations.

With unwavering determination, we’re accelerating a global shift where women emerge as indomitable catalysts to envision a transformative future. We’re establishing a new standard where every woman, regardless of background or circumstance, feels seen, heard, and supported in driving lasting change.

By echoing tales of triumph and valor, our disruptive yet effective approach is redefining the essence of female strength and resiliency. Every woman is empowered to reclaim her narrative,

Make her mark, and transform her life and the world around her.

Values

Equality

Every woman who comes to HER is treated as a peer, not a “case.” HER acknowledges the inherent wisdom of each woman and seeks to highlight her strengths rather than focusing on deficits.

Self-determination

Each young woman at HER makes choices for herself. HER provides guidance and coaching, and avoids the use of shame, coercion, or judgment.

Healthy Boundaries

HER recognizes the importance of healthy limit-setting to demonstrate to the young women we serve effective boundaries and encourage independence over time.

Use of Self

Everyone at HER shares stories from their own lived experience to enhance the relationship with the young women and provides examples of how to skillfully recover from hardship.

Low-Barrier

Anyone can be a peer at HER, as long as she identifies as female, and is between the ages of 18 and 25 with a desire for a different life.
